    À LA UNE
The Ottoman Empire began as the collective vision of guitarist Brian Koenig and bassist Nick Conti. The group came into its original form during the beginning of 2002 when drummer Zack Zweifel joined the band. A four song demo of original tunes was soon recorded in the same summer. Brad Lupo was hired as rhythm guitarist and vocalist Mary Zimmer was brought in to round out the lineup in May of 2003.
The band lost their bass guitar player, Nick Conti, and rhythm guitarist, Brad Lupo, in the Summer of 2004 to other endeavors. They will always remain friends of the band. Jacob Bare was added as the new bass player in August of 2004 and Paul Kline was accepted as 2nd axe in October of 2004.

The Ottoman Empire presents their original brand of progressive metal, while drawing influences from Dream Theater, Iced Earth, Judas Priest, Pantera, Iron Maiden, Arch Enemy and early Metallica. With the release of the six song EP Curse of The Sun, The Ottoman Empire have begun to solidify an original sound and are gearing up to make themselves known to the world.
