À LA UNE
Soon after this Jimmy Shiavo joined the band, at which time all the current songs we're polished up, and a couple other songs were written (most have been dropped, or put on hold since then). Also about this time there we're a few members that came and w're gone before anything really came of it.
And as usual (about mid-2002), things got kinda slow, people acted like dumbasses, and Brutal Forbid basically was put on the back burner... For a long long time... Then, March of 2003, things began to pick up again, the guys started working on the old material, and some new shit was also in the works. And then the ladies luck struck again, and we we're all blessed with things going back and forth, and new members joining and leaving again.
It was about a year of the bullshit, when Eric Garza joined the BtFb crew in Spring of 2004... Fresh outta Through The Ashes (ex-Premonition), he had a whole set of fresh ideas. Finally, things started picking up for real this time, and some songs started getting written. A couple shows we're played, and the band worked hard to get known in the Kenosha area, all while on the quest for a vocalist.
At this point, we tried out a couple vox guys, but nothing was working out for us... And finally, MilwaukeeRocks.com pulled through for us and Zach was ringing us up in the summer of 2004. We all got together, and God (or some dude somewhere) worked his magic and shit went awesome. We moved quickly through the material we already had written, and soon came up with our 14 tracks (some of which are still being worked on).
Four years later, Brutal Forbid is going strong. We have a decent fan base in Kenosha, we've played some out of town, and some out of state shows. We've recorded two demos, built this website your reading, and plan on moving forward, pushing the music we write and love.
Not too long after that Zach left the BtFb crew and started something new. Now Derric Brissette is fronting the band.
Hope this wasn't too long for ya.
