B.E.S.T.
Best of Emergenza Seasonal Tour |
| AND AFTER THE FESTIVAL... TOUR WITH THE B.E.S.T.
The Best of Emergenza Seasonal Tour is a special series of shows: some of the best bands who have participated in the Emergenza Festival are picked and taken on tour around North America and Europe.
The aim is creating more performance possibilities for the best acts in the contest.
The B.E.S.T. showcases are incorporated into the Emergenza shows and the selected bands play at the end of the each concert night. Each band has between two and four slots in different cities:this means that they can gain exposure in front of different audiences and of course other bands with whom they can network and work with in the future.
All the bands are able to see how Emergenza works for them - by rewarding the best talent with showcases in other cities. Some of them won the finals in their cities, while others did not, but they are definitely the most interesting and exciting bands out there, and they are the perfect example of what bands that get involved in Emergenza can profit from.
In addition to this, the shows are widely promoted and A&R are invited to discover the best up and coming bands. Emergenza also covers all travel expenses.
As always, these concerts are FREE for the Emergenza musicians.
Just last season...
23 bands
27 clubs
25 cities
53 shows in 4 months
33,200 people attending |

The North American branch of the B.E.S.T. differs from its European counterpart because it takes place in the spring instead of in autumn, but the aim is the same: creating more performance possibilities for the best acts in the contest.
The North American B.E.S.T. showcase will be incorporated into the Emergenza semi-finals shows and the 9 selected bands will play at the end of the each concert night. Each band will have between two and four slots in different cities. This means they will be able to gain exposure in front of different audiences and of course other bands with whom they can network and work with in the future.

MR BROWN AND LEXXI TOUR GERMANY
March 2005
The winners of the first and second place of the Emergenza Final 2004 tour Germany!
The tour for the two talented young bands is supported by Emergenza Festival and Track1. Mr Brown , the cute boys from Hamburg, wear red school uniforms, play (they say) 'beat music' or 'guitar pop' or 'melodic pop' or simply 'rock and roll, life and feelings' as they prefer. And... Oh yes, they won the Emergenza 2004 international final!
Lexxi from Glasgow (Scotland) dress in black and just opened up for the major act The Soundtrack of our Life in their hometown...Germany could not wait to hear their sleek and passionate rock again, after the amazing shows last October.
Here the dates:
08.03 Stuttgart, Universum -Mr Brown-
09.03 Munich, Backstage Club - Mr Brown and Lexxi

| SPAIN - March 2005
Ritmo y Compas in Madrid was completely packed full of fans who wanted to experience Spain's 2004 final once again - this time in the form of a showcase. Four of the best acts from last year participated in the event: the bands were loud; the fans were louder; the music raged on and nobody got a chance to chill. Automotive and Fate Close Warning offered a steady diet of metal, metal and more metal-indeed, while Fistfuck Supershow (less Fistfuck and more Supershow!) was a load of fun with their mix of rock and funk: great energy. What about Psicotropia ? You had to be there to feel the hypnotic effect. They sound like nothing you've heard before. |

B.E.S.T. Of Emergenza Vol.4
FREE ENTRY!
Begin: 8 PM
Here we go again. The Emergenza Road show is about to start its engine, just in time for the new season kick-off. Six concerts in Germany and France, and a line-up, that unites the creme de la creme of Emergenza's past three years..... In the best Clubs, for free (of course).
Emergenza started these showcases 5 years ago: each year the festival produces very good winners, but none (except in their home towns) had the chance to see, how good they REALLY are. This should change!
On the other hand, it is going to be a sort of reward for the best bands that took part. Since it is almost impossible for a band, without a record label, a publisher and a promotion campaign backing them, to play in foreign cities in front of a lot of people.
It did not change much since then, there's just more people coming to the shows every year. Obviously, the high standard of the groups performing was acknowledged and word spread fast!
On this tour you'll get to see three international winners:
MUNSHY (European Winner 2002)
These guys we wanted to present on the B.E.S.T. tour since a long time, because there wasn't many bands in the history of Emergenza, that were as impressive as this 5 piece from Paris. It wasn't always easy working with them, but finally they made up their mind to go professional (the the public's delight). They offer a very special mixture of björkish fairytale melodies, violent guitar walls and an unbeaten stage presence. And they have a special liking for the unexpected (get ready).
MR BROWN (International Winner 2004)
This year's champion, from Hamburg. Judging from their look, this band could be also from New York, Stockholm or London. The harmonies are British with no doubt, just a little bit of New Wave thrown here and there. By British here, we mean SONGS, proper dynamics and catchy hooks, perfectly arranged and presented, without forgetting about the kickass factor( the oh so famous KA factor).
NERVOUS NELLIE (International Winner 2003)
For the Swedes it's their second time with the B.E.S.T. of Emergenza Tour. They are touring Germany at that period anyway, so they drop in for some shows. File under Indie, some songs could have been written by the Lemonheads in their best period. They're not big posers on stage, and you will love them for that (Simplicity is the key). On the Warped! Tour earlier this year The (International) Noise Conspiracy weren't the only ones to be convinced (they're absolutely blown away).
TREETONE
Treetone made second in the Munich local final this year and still get a chance to show their skills around the country nevertheless. Tighter than a chicken's rear hole they put their sound and stage show up to 10! (Led Zeppelin fans take note!)
In each city there are also some of the best local Emergenza Heroes, please check out the Club's websites about the final line-up. And have fun....rock n Roll!.

| Germany (March 27th - April 2nd 2004) La Suite Mosquito: The winners of the Barcelona Final had even done the third rank at the International Final at the Taubertal Open Air. This gorgeous Hiphop-Funk-Techno Liveband was on the road with the famous Red Hot Chili Peppers as their support.
My Own Gravity: Even a participant of the Barcelona Final. They have already supported many popular Bands (e.g. HIM on their complete tour, which ended shortly before), performing a convincing and solid Rock Music and creating an absolutely new kind of Gothic. Their stage qualities are very aesthetical and mind-boggling.
Two bands from Munich and Berlin were on stage as well:
Fit of Rage: they''ve already shown at emergenza 2002 what it means to be a good live band. Sort of new metal with young and interesting musicians
The Ocean: The band is seen as the Doom-Rock-Invention of the year. A grooving rollercoaster, a capricious sound machine!
- March 27th, Berlin - Knaack Club ROCKNATION INTERNATIONAL (La Suite Mosquito, My Own Gravity, The Ocean)
