    TOPVERSLAGEN
DAY 3 are a three piece hard rock/heavy metal band formed in the summer of 2006 and based in the Hamilton, New Zealand.

Consisting of frontman/guitarist/vocalist Stew Murray, Bassist/backing vocalist Duane Sutherland, and Drummer Triga7, DAY3's Distinctive sound is built on the lifelong influences of hard rock and heavy metal on each band member. Recognizing that these American-origin genres have always been largely unrepresented in New Zealand, the band has set about recifying this oversight with a passionate vengeance.

Entering the World Battle of the bands in 2006 DAY3 took away BEST SONG WRITER 2006, BEST DRUMMER 2006, and a 4th place standing in the National Finals, a testament to 6 months of hard work and a truckload of raw talent.

Most recently, June 2008 saw DAY3 claim a 1st place ranking in the Axces Bar 'Rattle the room' Battle of the Bands Competition, taking out bands frought together from all over the North Island.

DAY3 Have the musicianship, work ethic, and undeniable 'x' factor that translate into huge marketing and live performance potential, serving up just what the New Zealand hard rock and heavy metal scene ordered. The Band evolves their musical style by continually seeking new ideas and influences, as well as listening to the latest trends both locally and internationally.
