Distant Waves is an acoustic pop band based in Berlin, Germany.
As long as Distant Waves already consisted of only guitar and vocal for some months, the whole formation found together in march 2008. The intention, motivation and ambition were high and so, under enjoyment and diligence, the band began to implement their own ideas and to compose songs. The expenditure has paid off because until now in only four months eight songs have been accrued, which are stylistically very open but anyhow they match with the style of the complete repertoire.
Distant Waves are musical impressions that move through different styles like fine waves by keeping that necessary distance to Mainstream Pop. Music by Bjössi, Philipp and Aimo. Texts and Melodies are thought out by Micci.
Ever since the band composes its own material. The musical style has changed rapidly from Electro-Pop/Soul to Acoustic Pop/Jazz.
