    Waking Up East all started when singer/guitarist Jay Indorato moved up to Monroe N.Y. in early 2007. Thanks to his father he met bassist Tommy Morse and they quickly started working together. In July 2007 Jay and Tommy met lead guitarist Tom Hanley while working at an autobody shop in Monroe, NY. About a month later Tom Hanley asked Jay and Tommy to come jam with drummer Christian Cotter and Waking Up East was born.

    Waking Up East has finished recording their debut album "34 Miles To Empty" Which was produced by Paul Carabello and John Collura from the band (The Ataris) The album is expected to officially be released in april 2009
