    À LA UNE
Sølus started off as three friends jamming together in their drummer's basement in 2004. The lineup consists of Burger (Drums,18), Kle (Bass,18) and Steffen (Guitar,18) and Benedikt J. Behnke (Vocals,19). While at first we were jamming to Classic Rock songs by Led Zeppelin and The Who, we soon tried to figure out more progressive stuff like Rush and Dream Theater. We've been playing mostly for the fun of it and the will of getting better at our instruments. In 2006 we attended the MainPOP BandCamp, where our first small gig took place, followed by some minor side appearances. During a three-day-session in 2007 we wrote our first song, Egyptian Walls, a rather proggy instrumental. In March 2007 we decided to engage Benedikt Behnke, a 17 year old singer and composer after listening to some of his tracks and jamming with his vocals. With the important position of a singer filled, we attended the MainPOP BandCamp once more and wrote another piece of music there, called "Last Step to Light". We played a gig with some friends at Riedenberg in July 07, doing some cover versions to compensate our lack of own material. Another year gone by we have the pleasure to come up with two new songs and a lot of new impressions on other fields of musical genres. Then, in summer 2008 we pulled ourselves together and recorded our first EP. About a week of recording work which produced three songs. As no one of us is a sound tech or has any experience in mastering, the sound quality might not be that great. So what, you get the idea!
    Stay tuned!
