    À LA UNE
Charlie Baker was born & raised in the Mississippi river town of Quincy, Illinois.
He began as a singer/songwriter in 1984 and spent the next several years playing lead guitar and fronting rock bands in bars and night clubs around Midwestern
    America.

As an artist, Charlie has shared the stage with rock bands such as Ted Nugent, REO- Speedwagon, Warren Zevon. Some other artist include Waylon Jennings and Randy Newman.

Fascinated by the Nashville song writing industry, Charlie moved to Music City in 1998 and spent several years playing writers nights with his acoustic guitar.
He found himself feeling restricted by the creative boundaries placed on songwriting by Music Row, so he found some like minded friends and formed a four piece rock band in 2003.
Revitalized, Charlie began writing new songs and got the band playing live in 2003.

Now firmly back to his roots, Charlie has recorded a 5-song EP titled,
Something New, and recruted the legendary Ben Keith to produce. Ben - who has played with Neil Young for over 30 years and nominated for a Grammy for producing Harvest Moon - was drawn to Charlie's unique blend of rootsy rock.

    Something New features the singles
"My Everything" and "New" and is scheduled for release in spring of 2005.
