    According to Dick Clark and the American Music Awards the Indiana rock band "a.m.DRIVE" was one of 2003's top 10 unsigned artists. This meant a trip to NYC to play the famed Bowery Ballroom in front of many music industry personel. The show went great and the buzz began. After a few months of talking with different record labels, management companies and agencies the band inked a booking deal with CAA, one of the world's largest and most respected companies. Things were looking very promising.


    a.m.DRIVE parted ways in the spring of 2004 due to nothing else than the guys being called in different directions. The bittersweet reality being that things change. Lead singer Cliff Ritchey would continue on as a solo artist, bassist Nathan Bennett joined fellow Indiana rockers "TheElms" and the other two...well, you're looking at it.


    Darren Potuck (guitar/vocals) and Andrew Grooms (drums) immediately began working on what would be their debut album for the new band AutoVaughn. With the addition of Stephen Wilson (lead guitar) and Clinton Wilson (bass) the band was complete. The guys continued the writing process and eventually came to a unanimous decision that 13 songs would be enough for their first album, which will be released in Nov. of 2004


    With influences ranging from U2 and Jeff Buckley to Better than Ezra and Franz Ferdinand these guys seem to have found their niche. Songs like "Rock and Roll World" and "State Line" are sure to be radio favorites while the more ambient and obscure "Heading your way" and "Save me" will satisfy today's indie rock fans.


    Although writing great songs is the primary goal of the band, don't be fooled into thinking that the live show has suffered. AutoVaughn is very aware of what needs to happen on stage. Audiences shouldn't be surprised when odd and extremely funny things are said...and they WILL be said.


    Future plans of the band include: World domination, etc. etc. etc.
