    À LA UNE
"An orgy of sound" is how Defunct Red defines its show. But it's not that simple. "A unique blend of raw, live energy and refined audio sampling that compels audience interaction" might be a better description.

Striving to raise the standard of live performance, Defunct Red uses computer samples to drive a 16-bit roller-coaster of original music that leaves the audience no choice but to move. The band's songs flow seamlessly together with an infectious, perfectly blended beat of dance and rock. Their two-hour, non-stop, high-energy production insures clubs will be packed.

The three men behind Defunct Red, already professional musicians when they met, were disillusioned with the cookie-cutter music scene. By using that disenchantment to fuel their creativity, they took their combined knowledge of music and fire-wired it into the next decade.
The resulting musical style, unlike anything ever heard before, is brought to you by:

A Frank Zappa-worshiping, wanna-be-Dana Colley tenor saxophonist, Lee Becker
    A Crystal Method-consuming, wanna-be-Jimi-Hendrix guitarist/vocalist/technologist, Jason Chilcoat
    A drum-corps-trained, wanna-be-Carter Beauford percussionist, Chuck Hamilton

Those who have seen the band before want to see them again, and those who are passing by will be captured by the group's originality. One fact is assured:

Once Defunct Red begins to play, adrenaline won't begin fading until after the stage lights do.
