    Jamie Nichols is relaxed, poised, and as she reaches the mic, it’s apparent she has been in command of this moment from the start by the sheer force of her personality. Her arrival, her presence is such that standing up under the lights is an afterthought, not a necessity, to draw her audience to her. With a voice both throaty and pure and lyrics transcending the alt-chick norm, her songs captivate. No song is the same once her voice has touched it. The richness she imbues each song with, the intensity of her tone is a rarity not to be missed.

    Jamie is currently backed by some of the most prolific and exciting musicians in Chicago. Bassist Matthew Golombisky is a versatile,incredibly solid, and thoroughly badass performer. Vibraphonist Matthew McClimon lends a superbly melodic and subtly ethereal mood to this acoustic collective. And Quin Kirchner adds a ferocious beat and a high-energy drumming style that will fuck your shit UP!

    This is a new band with old roots. Matthew McClimon, Matthew Golombisky, and Quin Kirchner, play in several other groups together including: QMRplus, Grilly Biggs, Red Shift, Pele's Electric Glow, and The Other Planets.


    In the past year you may have seen these musicians perform at the Empty Bottle, Heartland Café, Hungry Brain, Ice Factory, The Metro, U.S. Beer Co., Cleary's on Clark, Cubby Bear, Hoghead McDunna’s, O’Malleys, Redline Tap, No Exit Café, Stonecutters, Hard Rock Hotel, 4Art Inc., Phil Circle’s Acoustic Showcase, and much much more.
