Erynies est né en 2000 de l’ambition de deux frères guitaristes, Jean-Christophe et Bertrand. Ce dernier étant chanteur, trois autres musiciens (un bassiste, un batteur et un claviériste) rejoignent vite le duo, et ils se produisent pour la première fois en 2002, à Nanterre. Durant cette année, plusieurs changements se font au sein du line-up d’origine: un remplacement du claviériste s’effectue, et ils choisissent d’ajouter une chanteuse heavy ainsi qu’un troisième guitariste. En 2003, Erynies enregistre une démo de trois titres. Ceci leur donne l’opportunité de participer, l’année suivante, au Hardaveyron, avec Manigance en tête d’affiche. Pourtant, les membres se séparent en 2005. Jean-Christophe n’a cela dit jamais abandonné son rêve; il souhaite en effet mettre au point un réel projet, où la participation de chacun des membres serait importante. C’est pourquoi, toujours suivi de Bertrand, il s’impose comme leader en reformant le groupe en février 2007, avec un tout nouveau line-up : Guillaume B. (bassiste), suivi de Nassir (qui remplace Nazim à la batterie), ainsi que Guillaume D., (claviers). Deux choristes, Léa et Athénais ainsi que Carole, la chanteuse, font désormais aussi partie de l’aventure. Une étape a été franchie; prochains sommets à atteindre : le festival Emergenza et le Fallen Fest !

The idea of creating Erynies came to Jean-Christophe and Bertrand’s mind, two brothers and guitarists, in 2000. Since Bertrand was also performing the singings, three other musicians (a bass guitar, a drummer and a keyboarder) quickly joined them, and they played their first gig in 2002, in Nanterre. They chose to add a heavy female singer, new keyboarder and a third guitarist to their line-up. In 2003, they recorded three tracks and released their first demo. It led them to the Hardaveyron, with Manigance as headliner. Two years after, though, the band came to an end. Jean-Christophe never let his dream down. Indeed, he really wanted to find musicians who would deeply take part to his project. That’s why in february 2007, as a leader and still supported by Bertrand, the band is reborn, with a new line-up : Léa and Athénais became the choir of Erynies, Nassir the drummer (who takes the place of the former, Nazim), Guillaume the keyboarder, and at last Carole, the singer. One step has been taken, now the new demo is over. Their upcoming highlights : the emergenza Festival and the Fallen Fest
