    Hellevator's story began in 2005 when Alex Hellstedt and Tom Twice formed a band called Purgatory. Soon Robby Rockbag joined on guitar, and the search for a bass player and singer began. Soon Jimbo had joined the band on bass guitar, and the line-up was completed when Dent Dement assumed lead vocals in early 2007. Hellevator was born!
