New Perspective is a pop/rock band from Rotterdam, Zuid Holland, The Netherlands. It all started with Arnout Boot on Drums and Jeroen Wehkamp on Guitar. They already knew each other from a previous band they played in. The band had fallen apart and they were the only remaining band members. They decided to form an all new band. Jeroen asked his brother Sander Wehkamp to join as Bassist. Sander was closely followed by Leon Visser which was a friend Sander knew from school. He joined as the second Guitarist. Lastly, Danielle van Calsteren filled the spot for Singer after the band held auditions. They all have a common love for music. This is what makes the band great, according to its members. Jeroen once said: ‘When you play with others, there is a certain bond that unites you with them. It is inevitable that you become friends when you play with the same persons over and over, as you start to feel and understand each other’. This is very important to the band members. Sander: ‘It is impossible to play a good show if you can’t count on your band. So being able to trust your band members is very important’. All together New Perspective consists of good friends sharing mostly the same interests. Daniëlle: ‘We play because we want to, and because we enjoy it. If we can entertain others by doing so we would be very pleased’.
