    Office-mates Diehl and Legrand realized that they could start a band since they were both experienced in playing live music. The next question was who would play bass and rhythm guitar. Legrand gave their colleague Remko Schotte guitar lessons and another musically-inclined colleague Thijs bought a bass and gave it a try. After a few months of practice sessions, the band wanted a dedicated singer. Lennert Janssen, friend of Schotte, volunteered and ran with it. Soon Thijs would leave to California and Diehl's friend John Hughes, dusted off his bass and jumped in with both feet. To date the band has played once- at the PhD graduation of Schotte. Emergenza will be the first performance of this band in front of a willing audience. Until then!
