    À LA UNE
Bingo Fridays is breaking the mold of the traditional rock quartet by utilizing influences that vary from rock, blues, funk, jazz and reggae and combining them into an entirely unique sound. Well structured improvised passages and intricate, dance-able rhythms make performances consistently exciting.

For most bands, calling rehearsal time is a simple task, especially for a quartet. The majority of bands have a set weekly time to practice and stick to their schedule. Bingo Fridays does not have this luxury. Between Jake Pardee's involvement with New England Conservatory's jazz program, private lessons with jazz-guitarist Anthony Weller, and numerous ensembles; Pete Iannitto's involvement with Berklee College of Music's bass Funk/ Groove department, lessons with jazz/funk bassist Lenny Stallworth (Maceo Parker, more), and lessons with Adam Saylor (Elephant House, Left Over Wine); Zach Gorrell's involvement with the University of Indiana's jazz program, private lessons with tenorist Mike Tucker, and classical/jazz lessons on piano; Aaron Zaroulis' private lessons with James Murphy (Elephant House)... the band is quite busy even before rehearsal times are called.

However, a very clear focus on the importance of music to the members of Bingo Fridays' lives is obvious. Although timing rehearsal time may be somewhat of a week-to-week challenge, the band's devotion to their music forces the job to get done -often blocking out 3-5 hour long practices a couple times a week, sometimes late at night, whenever the time is available.

The band's work ethic is exceptional, each member contributing 100% at all times. Due to the studies in a wide variety of styles of music, it is not uncommon in rehearsal to hear a jazz standard, classic rock, funk, or blues tune called -often turning into an interesting, exciting mix of all four with each member offering their different perception of the direction the song is heading.

Bingo Fridays is a hardworking, young band from Boston, dedicating themselves to being professional musicians, learning as much as possible, and consistently delivering interesting, imaginative performances.
