three-piece group that included bassist Mikkel Ejstrup, guitarist Henrik Hald,
and drummer Thomas Colerick. 2nd guitarist and lead vocalist Rasmus Poulsen
joined up shortly after to complete the final line-up. After a short period of
time rehearsing and getting to know each other, AbR went out to do some low key
gigs around Copenhagen. Winning a local "battle of the bands" gave the lads a
confidence boost. Almost a year passed before the band finally found its own
place on the indie-rock scene. By that time, the band had forged a vast
recognizable sound described as "the contrast between ferociously shredding
guitars and mellow silence," which resulted in a 3 track demo, "released" in
August - 2003. Local popularity increased and the gigs got bigger (while the
band had - and still has - a policy of playing whenever the opportunity occurs.)
AbR has already gone through many creative processes and continue to develop its
sound and live performance which makes it an upcoming band to keep an eye on in
the future.
