As if the nineties never happened (it almost seems a conspiracy that they occurred at all!), Insidiöus Törment hammers out their own solid metal to the tune of classic eighties power metal. By combining all the best of the decade, from the sing-along choruses of pop and hair metal to the hints of dark thrash. Listening to Törment can be a trip down memory lane. Tracks like “The Duke of Liechtenstein”, “Moon Trooper” and “The Great Cocks of Rock’n’Roll” deliver the goods!
Based in Denmark but born and bred in Germany, Törment rocks! Frontman and voice-over specialist Scream’s narcissism cannot hide his immense talents as a performer and vocalist. Guitarist Killer rips into riffs of a magnitude and latitude hitherto unknown to these shores. Bass-handler OJJ provides an eye in the storm with his precise and rhythmic accentuation and finesse. Behind the kettles, reborn-again metallizer Ronnie Gamboa lets loose with an intensity that leaves no room for questions. Behind the scenes, a plethora of legendary personalities appear from time to time to add spice to the shows, recordings, indeed the entire universe that constitutes the Törment experience.
All this adds up a live show the like of which this world has never seen. With songs that feature both strong hooks, good melodies, expansive lyrics and free ranging hair.
