Claiming nothing and holding on to their groupie repellent with two hands, split fifty gracefully takes a bow. The idea of passion inside of rock music long forgotten in the world of popular culture. Out of view from Carson Daley and his extravagant side show of heart throb pop bands lies an alternative for the alternative.

2-6 chords and a gallon of ferocity never made so much sense. The idea here is not Rock Stardom, its Rock Bottom, and how the real world has been there. No one is bling blingin in a mansion made from holly wood stage props. The message isn't always complex, sometimes its simple like loss of life, love, or friendship, other times its not spelled out. Either way its pure honest and genuine the way art is supposed to be.
Using a blend of Vintage and Modern distortion and clarity the 5 members of Split Fifty: Zach, Josh, Ted, Steve-O and Jeremy bring forth a representation of independent rock and cultural influences ranging from Vintage rock "ala beatles" to punk and modern hardcore "the cure, the melvins, Nirvana, jaw breaker, jets to brazil, Foo Fighters, at the drive in, sonic youth". Sometimes its fast sometimes its slow but its always good and full of passion. We wont change our ideas or art to achieve safety in numbers, we may how ever experiment with the paints provided to achieve new colors and shades of our sound. The five of us find ambition and purity writing and performing music together. We will continue to do so as long as there is blood running in our veins.

The Vans Warped Tour 2002 and 2003, performed over 100 shows "since our start in late 2000", toured the full east coast 2 times and the north east twice as well, performed with bands such as Less than Jake, Eve 6, Shades Apart, The Teen Idols, Damonne, CKY, SR71, Saves The day, Element 101, Murphys Law, the Rx Bandits, Hot Water Music, Auto Pilot Off, The Staring Line, The Toasters, The Misfits, and oh so many more.
