We don't hate our parents, we don't play songs written by Linda Perry or "The Matrix," and we don't wear leather jackets and Chuck Taylors. At press time we all sport our natural hair colors. Some of us watch Adult Swim religiously, and some of us even do homework. If you're still reading, you may be about to discover a band that will restore your faith in the ailing genre known as guitar rock.

So here's the part where we tell you about our hipster influences that you've never heard of, and why we're the best band to come along since that fateful day when destiny joined Huey Lewis with The News. Truthfully, we'd just as soon not try to describe our music with words as this should ideally be impossible. We're a five-piece band, our basic instrumentation is acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, cello, and drums. Electric piano, mandolin, harmonica, and saxophone are added when the songs cry out for them. We also hesitate to name "influences" since we don't make any concerted effort to sound like anyone else. Collectively we dig Radiohead, The Flaming Lips, Van Morrison, and The Beatles. Individually, each of us likes some bands the others can't stand. In this environment of agreement and healthy disagreement, we aim for a unified sound that still allows each of us to express our individual tastes.

We don't want to offend your political sensibilities, get you high on an artifical sense of joy, or bore you with our angst. If you're inclined to treat our songs as background music, we won't be insulted. But we promise you won't regret taking a closer look.
