A Legend Falls is the result of a life time of yearning to be something that never was and always should have been. In the amount of time that the band has been playing their unique brand of melodic metal they have gained a large and growing fan base. Since their creation in December 2001, their gigs have always been filled with new and familiar faces all hoping to catch a glimpse of the emotionally packed shows the band is recognized for. Residing in the Ottawa region, A Legend Falls forms much of their creations at the residence of their drummer, Michael Ieradi, where bassist Casti Constantinescu, guitarists Derek St-Amour, Shawn Brown, and vocalist Dave Journeaux are constantly present, complementing each other's individual but congruent styles of songwriting. For A Legend Falls the quest to attain large legions of loyal fans is never-ending.

The Bands sound is comprised of many different expressions of rock and metal producing a unique style all their own. Their songs range from agressive, classic metal with clever breakdowns and mood changes to string accompanied, acoustic representations of despair. Clever bass lines, mind-blowing guitar riffs/solos, and frenetic drumming all work together to create the epic pieces of the bands latest CD, ‘Chaos Becomes Us.’ The instrumentation is accompanied by crisp, clean vocals with harmonies that will give you chills and heartbreaking screams that will connect with the deepest regions of your soul. The band is planning a small North American tour between the months of January and February to promote the new album and spread the name of A Legend Falls.

The creation of the band was fairly coincidental. During the summer of 2001 Mike overheard a solo being played by Derek. Complements were exchanged as both had heard many things about each other. They got together with Casti and began playing covers. Upon gaining much support from friends who recognized their talent, they opted to write some of their own material. The band then focused on writing some demos to present to the public. After receiving more positive feedback, it was time to find an appropriate vocalist for the band. After having gone through a handful of singers in a short period of time, they came across Dave. Following a brief fifteen minute audition the band knew their search was over. Feeling a need to complete their sound the band then began to look for a talented and dedicated second guitarist. They quickly found what they were looking for in Shawn and were ready to hit the scene. Since the lineup has been finalized, the band has performed and won contests at many local venues including Club Saw, Bumpers Roadhouse, The Rainbow Bistro, Cafe Dekcuf, Babylon, Barrymore's Music Hall etc. and is constantly looking to attract newer and bigger crowds at every show they play.

A Legend Falls has opened for such bands as The End, Quo Vadis and Lacuna Coil.
