My singing debut began at a young age in the shower and out of key. Instead of joining the “shut up!” chorus my grandmother believed in me and would slip me $50 bills for voice lessons and say, “Don’t tell Papa.” After high school I picked up a guitar and began to pour my heart out in song, and in tune! Even before I could play an instrument playing with words was a passion. Music and lyrical musing is the best way I connect with emotion and the universe in and around us and long to convey this to you.
I’ve traveled with my guitar all over the world “singing for my supper.” I often heard, “quit your day job” or “when’s the CD coming out?”
Finally I’ve decided to go for it and gave my two weeks notice at an overnight job. I drove past an old church with a sign which read, “Too many people die with their music still in them,” and a while later I passed a small sign in the middle of nowhere with bold white letters which read, “NOW IS TIME.”
I happened across the Emergenza website and signed up. Over a few months a back up band came together called “The Healing”. Now is time to take the “LEAP” - the name of my first CD release projected to be out soon. It promises to be a passionate, edgy, inspirational, relational from the heart for the heart, alternative rock, healing journey of sorts.
Together with a talented band of musicians and friends I aim to have fun making some cool, deep, and hopefully danceable music. Through it all I want to encourage people to escape the lies of the mind whose prison bars are but and illusion.
