Based in the West end of Ottawa, Faith in Falling is a self-proclaimed "regressive rock" trio with a long history of noise by-law violations. The band was established in 2001 and changed names several times before settling on its present moniker. Beginning with a very Metallica-esque sound, the band gradually added elements of nu-metal and punk as its members expanded their musical horizons. With the arrival of drummer Alex Seguin in the fall of 2002, Faith in Falling gained a thunderous Neil Pert-meets-John Bonham backbeat to complement frontman Mike Cork's razor- sharp guitar and Adrian's pulverizing 5-string bass.
