Shadowgraphs, formed in October of 2005, has quickly become Connecticut’s most unique indie-rock act. The high-powered pop/rock trio combines elements of jazz, ambience, Americana, and folk over an army of demanding backbeats to create a “mixture of layered soundscapes, peppered with a subtle instrumentation revealing the band to be musically mature beyond their years,” (Hartford Advocate). Undecidedly introspective, the subject matter is outwardly wry; yet, inwardly self-conscious and meditating – ending in a feeling of disconnected confrontation with the inevitable.

In its infant stages, the band members made a conscious decision to remain “under the radar” - satisfied with focusing on creating quality sound rather than fighting for a share of the public spotlight…Now, after a full year of intense songwriting, and carefully selected live appearances, the band is ready to unleash their highly anticipated self-produced EP composed of lusciously tweaked-out pop orchestrations in November of 2006.

The band’s intense live performances incorporates moments of hushed silence in between moments of sonic explosions, soaring vocals, and laptop freakouts - revealing a shockwave of hidden intensity that releases a pleasurable dose of soft-spoken panic in the unexplored regions of the mind - even in the most unsuspecting of listeners. Touring the Northeast since 2001 under the former guise known as Eschellon, the band has played notable venues such as Toad’s Place, the Webster Theater, The Knitting Factory, Luna Lounge, Tasty World, and Great Scott - sharing bills with Kevin Devine, V.A.S.T., The Breakfast, Mighty Purple, Jen Durkin, Oh My God!, and the New Deal. In 2002, the band showcased for Universal Records, and for Sony and Artemis Records in 2005.
