Entropy was originally started by Colm and Dave in 2002 wit the intention of just passing boredom.Colm would write songs and dave would sing over them an nothing much happened with the band until late 2003 when the lads decided taking the "band" a bit more seriosly and actually recruiting members Dave placed an add in Music Maker in Dublin city centre with the title FREE PORN looking for a guitarist drummer and bass player.Later that day a young guitarist by the name of Neal replyed.Neal instantly impressed the two lads and they realised he was the man for the job Colm and Neal then went ahead with writing the bands first two songs with Dave writing lyrics and naming them "First Blood" and "Shards of Hearts" The next summer Dave moved from Talaght in Dublin to Port Laoise.Dave had known a drummer from the town for many years and out of desperation to get things going the lads made the trip to Laois to hook up with Declan.It was instantly realised that Declan would suit the band and was definitely good enough.At the same time a bass player named Ger joined the band. Within three weeks Entropy had their first gig in the Dunamaise Theatre in Port Laoise playing a number of covers by Pantera ,Slayer and an early version of "Shards of Hearts". The next gig was also in the Dunamaise with the addition of "First Blood".Soon after that gig Ger was sacked for a lack of commitment. The lads then took a break while Colm did his Leaving Cert In the summer of 2005 the band concentrated on expanding there set and playing tightening uo there live act....unfortunitely not alot of gigs came there way that summer. During the school year of 2005/2006 the band played there first dublin gigs in Fibbers and Soul 28.Again the band had to take another break while Dave, Neal and Declan did there Leaving Cert In the Summer of 2006 the band are hoping to record and release there first E.P. and play as many gigs as possible to promote it.
