The Chase have been cited by many as an up and coming band to watch and featured in May 2006's edition of Connected Magazine. Gigs to date have included slots at well known venues around Dublin such as The Sugar Club, The Hub, Whelans and Eamon Dorans, The Voodoo Lounge, Crawdaddy, Fibbers and Isaac Butts.
The Chase began life in 2005 with a loose line up in place bringing together material from previous projects and writing new songs, before settling as a 4-piece in November 2005. An originals set was put together and rehearsed in late 2005 / early 2006 before the band jumped straight into playing around Dublin from February 2006 onwards. The Chase held this line until they parted company with their bassist in Nov 2006 and have been joined by the multi-talented Shane Cusack on bass for live shows at present until a permenant replacement can be found.
2006 has been a busy year for the band with the launch of their E.P. at The Sugar Club on Sep 3rd, and have now moved on to the more arduous task of setting down an album, which is planned for release in early 2007.
