Performances vary from intimate soulful solo acoustic sessions and full on rock shows to alternative and eclectic shows with accompaniment from djembe, clarinet and violin.
Until October 2004, Anthony had been in several bands playing lead guitar, piano and vocals. These bands supported the likes of Damien Rice, Steve Wall and Picture House and performed in various established venues around Ireland such as Whelans, The Temple Bar Music Centre and Eamon Dorans. While solo, A more spontaneous and organic direction was pursued. Many live gigs followed in venues such The International Bar, Whelans and The Boom Boom Room.
Anthony released his debut single ‘RITUAL’ on the 31st of August in Bewley’s Theatre, Grafton Street. The single is backed by the songs Spoon and Leave your sorrow by the sea. Other tracks were recorded at these sessions such as Tear in the sky and Night time prayer. Anthony is still continuing to gig and pen new material for a future release.
Ritual is available from Road Records and Tower records since the 1st of September 2006.
In April 2006, Anthony was filmed performing one of his songs by an Irish television crew for a series about Irish songwriters, which was aired on RTE2 in November.
During July and August of this year, Anthony was the most downloaded artist on the Dublin South FM myspace site. He is also receiving airplay on several other radio stations.
Anthony is backed by Ross Nelson on bass, Dave Conlon on voacls and percussion and Jeremy Kehoe on Drums who call themselves The Durrty Stopouts.
