Naxalite are a group of guys living in Dublin, Ireland. Naxalite was born in 1999, in the dirty music room of the Royal College of Surgeons. Imran, Rish and Zain felt there was something missing not only from the metal scene, but music in general - Heavy Melody. They all brought with them varied music tastes and an open mind. With Imran's songwriting and guitaring, Zain's underlying bass-line and Rish's creative drum patterns (not to mention his fearsome double kick) they started writing songs and soon were joined by Declan and his thrash-attack guitar-playing. In this line-up, they played several venues around Dublin and earned themselves a few fans. Joey joined the group in 2004, becoming the third guitarist (you can't have too many guitarists). Adding a third guitar part added depth to songs that were already catchy, heavy and original. Soon after, Zain left and Naxalite were joined by Nick, who brought his own style of groove-oriented bass playing. As a band of doctors, we don't play that many shows and we don't tour, but we love music.
