Hayasofia is a rock group formed by Alfredo Ricart and Eugenio Garrido in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in 2002. After numerous recordings and live performances the band moved to Barcelona, Spain, in 2006, where Juan Vivado joined as the new bassist. In Barcelona the band continued to play concerts and decided to concentrate exclusively on live performances, leaving behind studio recordings. In 2009 the band relocated to Berlin, Germany, where they have continued to play shows, attracting a bigger audience each time.
