NOTIZIE PRINCIPALI
Not really an end to a great band but the beginning of the next great one. In early 2001 five guys got together to play music and rock out under the pseudo name PrAnK. Scot Schaumburg and Shelby Martin started jamming out with Aaron O’Claire in Scot and Shelby’s small apartment. The trio saw some potential in the music they made together. The trio invited David Burdick to join them when they found out David played drums and owned his own set. Jamming with other musicians was not something new for the group. The boys of PrAnK invited their friends over to jam all the time. One of their friends stood out from the others. Sam Kong jammed out with the four for about six months but over the summer of 2001 they lost contact with Sam. PrAnK would have a few gigs in 2001 and play a battle of the bands and some private parties. After winter break 2002 the four hooked back up with Sam and they decided to go to the studio to record the songs they wrote before Sam joined the band. PrAnK played a few more shows before the guys realized that their style had changed and they had matured into a new band. Their songs had also matured into the anthems they are today. The group realized a name change was needed. The name change would happen after recording a new album with the new material that all of them had written together. In the Spring of 2003 they recorded eight more songs and thus transformed into the band they are today….Alternate End. So an “alternate end” for the band PrAnK is really just the beginning for Alternate End.
