Singer Michael St. Allen and drummer Dee Anthony formed Locked N’ Loaded in the spring of 2000. “We wanted to bring back the melodic hard rock sound that once dominated the Midwest club circuit” says St. Allen. In the fall of 2001 Locked N’ Loaded changed their name to Seven Ten. “We will wake those who are asleep at the wheel I promise”, says St. Allen. Seven Ten delivers catchy songs with hooks that are best compared to the gold and platinum hard rock award winners of the 1980’s and early 90’s. “We did things very different from the start. Songs were written before we ever stepped foot on a stage. With the original band we recorded several songs through out the Chicago area. The sound quality was very bad, so we decided to record it on our own”, says St. Allen. “At the time of the Chicago recording sessions our original bass player was not happy with the situation, and decided to leave” says Anthony. “So now it was three guys and I very much recall our guitar player at the time saying we needed to find the missing link”, says St. Allen. As fate would have it Seven Ten found Glenn Curtis more than a year later. “Before we found Glenn it was a long road for us”, says Anthony. While searching for a bass player Seven Ten wrote songs as a three-piece band and started pre-production for their album Love and War. “Nearly two years went by with most of the songs written, and that’s about the time that we found Glenn”, says St. Allen. Rehearsals started and soon the band recorded what was to become their debut CD for Metal Mayhem Music. Seven Ten is proud to be signed with Metal Mayhem Music, a label that not only showcases their talent, but proud that the label believes in keeping melodic hard rock alive. Inspired by dozens of hard rockers Seven Ten won’t deny their influences. “As a songwriter your influences make you who you are, like a tattoo they never go away,” says St. Allen. With the new addition of Johnny Searing on Lead Guitar in the fall of 2003, Seven Ten promises to tear audiences in two! “If you have electricity we will play there,” says Anthony. “Every night Seven Ten plays it will be something to witness for sure. It will be balls out or nothing at all”, says Curtis. Seven Ten will continue supporting melodic hard rock in the Midwest, and will continue to share their rock n’ roll vision for years to come.
Let Seven Ten teach you the game of Love and War.
