In the fall of 2001 in Salem Massachusetts, J. Blasphemous met drummer Dendro Cellback and together they started a band called Dark Dawn. The band included a keyboardist and bassist with J. performing all the guitar and vocal duties, after several line-up's (a few including a second guitarist) and changing their name to Halo Of Thorns, They enlisted the help of vocalist/bassist Kristopher Mortis, who at that point had never even picked up a bass. after releasing a live E.P and a year of playing in Salem and Worcester, their keyboardist ran out on them forcing them to cancel all upcoming shows. In the spring of 2003 Robert Immortacide replaced Ryan Lord on Keyboards and they've played a few controversial shows in Salem (including naked teenage girls, blood soaked crowds, near riots and self mutilating band members) thus making a name for themselves in the North Shore of Massachusetts. They are hoping to release their first studio album ever in 2005. VOTE HALO OF THORNS OR DIE!
