NOTIZIE PRINCIPALI
Like a possessed demon,
Through the Discipline relentlessly carries forward amidst all chaos and obstacles surrounding them.
Comprised of lead vocalist, Mike Centrone, 22, guitarists Luis Ramirez, 23, Pat Reilly, 24, drummer Allen Benatar, 23, and bassist Mark
Morrill, 24, TTD blends traditional metal with a fresh style. Their material is filled with melodies as well as sharp leads complimenting
a tight rhythm section. The vocals contain a steady variety of brutal growls and mid-range screams.
TTD began in 1997 and played local shows consistently, building a strong fan-base close to home in the 5 boroughs of NY.
After several lineup changes, lead guitarist Pat Reilly jumped onboard in 2001. TTD subsequently released an EP entitled
"Our Lady of Death." This release put Through the Discipline on the map as a monstrous metal force. The release would eventually
go on to sell over 2000 copies worldwide, despite its’ limited exposure and distribution.
In 2003, Through the Discipline recorded a devastating 3-song demo at Sound Investments Studios in Scranton, PA. The band
worked like maniacs to get their music to as many people as possible and did numerous tours of the east coast while shopping the demo
to labels. While on tour, TTD secured a deal with independent record label Jailhouse Records and released their debut full-length CD,
"Art Of Survival", in May 2004.
“Art of Survival" is a true display of TTD’s abilities and will satisfy any fan of heavy music. Both the 2004 New England Metal
& Hardcore Festival and the 2004 Hellfest were scenes for phenomenal performances by TTD. The band also embarked on two full US
tours. The first of these was the “No More Serenity” tour alongside Kataklysm, Misery Index, and Cannae in the spring of 2004. Long
time friends Full Blown Chaos and 100 Demons also took TTD out on tour in the summer of 2004. In the fall of 2004, TTD once again
went through a lineup change when bassist Mark Morrill entered the picture and secured the vacant bass player position. To date,
Through the Discipline has shared the stage with highly touted bands like Shadows Fall, Suffocation, Cryptopsy, Iced Earth,
Children Of Bodom, Hatebreed, E-Town Concrete, Mastodon, God Forbid, Six Feet Under, and plenty more. Through the Discipline
is currently writing new material for the follow up to “Art of Survival” that shows the progression of the band's unparalleled writing style.
There is no stopping the onslaught of TTD on the heavy music masses. The best is yet to come...
