Shadow of a Ghost was formed in mid 2004, but it's roots go much further than that. In late 2003, vocalist Travis Wood and guitarist turned drummer Chad Tanner were making a mediocre ripple in the Cheatham County heavy music scene in a band called Fatal Era. They opened for local greats such as Oliver's Army and Scatter The Ashes as well as an array of hardcore and metal bands, winning over the crowd with their heavy handed and slightly melodic sound.After a while, the band tired of the direction they were going in and ultimately parted ways. Travis Wood went on to play in a band called Red Devil Lie and Tanner and the rest of the members went on to form Valor. Both bands played shows together, but soon fell out of favor with their individual bands, and after a break, Tanner and Wood decided it was time to jam again. Recruiting vocalist Jessica Flanders,guitarist Dusty Carabello and former No Solution/Fatal Era bassist Sean Tryon, Shadow Of A Ghost was formed from the ashes of several failed attempts at making music. With their melodic yet heavy sound, gothic look and their energy and passion for performing live, Shadow Of A Ghost are poised to take the Nashville metal scene by storm, offering something a bit different from the rest of the pack.
