Ambiense was formed in 2002 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida by Wayne Hall and Chuck Townsend. They have been playing together for the past seven years and decided to do something with their music. With Wayne on lead guitar and vocals and Chuck on drums they began writing original songs. In early 2004, they acquired their bass player, Jake Mondragon. Now the band is complete with Wayne's melodic/edgy guitar work, catchy lyrics and vocals, Chuck's straight ahead drumming approach, and Jake's solid bass playing. Ambiense finished recording their demo in Orlando, Florida in early March 2004. Ambiense is relocating to Orlando to pursue their musical interests. The band's influences range from Alice in Chains, Anthrax, Eric Clapton, Dave Mathews Band, and Metallica.
