After being eliminated from American Idol in the second round for soiling himself during "I'm in the mood for love," Jay Ashton swore off pop music forever. Instead he turned to rock. Ashton coaxed ritalin survivor Gary Vassalo and concert pianist/magician Lou Catalano into starting a band. The guys were in need of a bassist and lucked out when Adam Zangerle was released from prison.
