Dann Russo was born in Brooklyn, NY, and from before birth was listening to music - the nascient genre of hip-hop, the harmonious and lyrical folk of the Greenwich Village music clubs, the rock and roll of bands like The Eagles and Alabama, The Beatles and Richie Havens, Aerosmith and Bon Jovi. There is no genre of music absent from Dann's CD library, and that influence can be seen in his songs. From the flamenco-inspired sounds of "Cafe en San Juan" to the straight rock and roll of "Run Out Of Reach," Dann's music runs the gamut of styles. Deep influences by U2, Bruce Springsteen, Counting Crows, and great songwriters like Bob Dylan, Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews and Rob Thomas can be seen throughout his music, mixing country, folk, pop, rock, and alternative styles in almost every song.
