Stolen Element formed in the summer of '99 in Snowshoe, WV. All four members grew up and attended high school together.Taking influences from bands such as Sublime, Metallica, and many more punk, rock, and reggae influences, Stolen Element relocated to Morgantown, WV. Spending the next few months working on original material, they entered Lively Sound Recording Studio in May 2001 to record their first untitled cd using studio hours won in the Stonewall Showcase Battle of the Bands.The album was recorded by Dan Lively and then mastered and manufactured by Disc Makers. Upon completing the recording, Stolen Element again relocated to Surfside Beach, SC to expand their touring area, which now includes venues in WV, VA, PA, MD, NC, SC, DE, OH...
