NOTIZIE PRINCIPALI
COLOSSICK has now been formed in 2005. The band, formerly known as Niceguy has gone through a restructure process renewing itself before entering the club scene once again in early spring.

COLOSSICK are four members determined to deliver the biggest and boldest sound to the masses possible. This determination has stemmed from a history of pushing heavy music to the next level, and striving for recognition, but never compromising sound or overall attitude. COLOSSICK, a name derived from the slogan “so huge its sick” can be described as one huge wall of sound. Heavy metal influences from the late 80's and early to mid 90's shaped the band into what has been called one of the loudest most energetic live bands in Atlanta. Concrete riffs, gripping harmonics, bleeding feedback, and power grooves puts COLOSSICK in the category of loud rock/metal band. However, the band is constantly expanding their sound and the music is open enough that even fans of lighter genres can find something to grab onto. The members of COLOSSICK have been slaying stages together for over a decade. The original four piece was formed in ’98 as Niceguy, with three members who were formerly a part of Atlanta’s own Miller’s Tale. The band’s growths came in waves as they pounded local clubs on and off up through 2003 blasting away, show after show, with power and intensity unlike most mediocre bands that flooded the club scene during that time. A line-up change came in late summer ’03, as Niceguy welcomed new drummer Jeremy Kidd to the fold. 2004 was the band’s strongest year to date. While maintaining several shows, showcases, and band competitions per month, the band was also invited to a debut of an independent film The Delivery Boy Chronicles that featured Niceguy music in a couple of scenes. In 2005 the band has reformed as COLOSSICK with a new rhythm guitarist Maq Brown who joined the band after local band Revolver called it quits. The reformation follows a series of changes initiated so that the band will reach new heights and be able to set higher goals down the road ahead. The band, Tom Blair - vocals / guitar, Justin Whitley - bass / vocals, Jeremy Kidd - drums, and Maq Brown - guitar / vocals, newly signed to Oravetz Management (404-547-6728), is currently in the studio (Spring ’05) producing a new release featuring new material that hits harder and stronger than ever before, and just like always, promises to bring the pain!
