Founder, guitarist, and songwriter M.G.Jones now leads an all new line-up of high calibre players into the future. Those who remember the band as being "Loud n' Ugly", may be dissapointed, as this new band is definitely NOT the "old" DAMN NATION. The band is now a 4 piece, and the music is still very heavy, but more polished. The vocal style is less "Hardcore" and more "Mainstream". Overall the music is more accessable to radio and to the masses. Several attempts to rebuild the band were made with short lived success, untill M.G.Jones recieved a call from Germany, from a highly accomplished and well known vocalist MARK DESMOND, who was very interested in the bands music. After talking and discovering the two had similar interests, attitude, and ambition in music, vocalist MARK DESMOND left Germany and came to Canada to join the band. The two re-worked some old material, and wrote and recorded some new material, and very quickly had a new demo album. Later, local musicians DALE TUDOR (Bass) and STEVE MITCHELL (drums) joined the line-up and TNDN was on it's way.
This new band is collectively working at a higher level, their work ethic, attitude, and intentions are all on the same page. Some may consider this a comeback of a local live band, others may consider this a new band. One thing is certain, with a new sound and a new direction, a clearer more focused vision, and an all new line-up, this new band is nothing like the "old" DAMN NATION, it’s bigger and it’s better, and therefore could only be known as....... ………..THE NEW DAMN NATION ! .
