NOTIZIE PRINCIPALI
Chiba-Ken is a Hard Rock band with nuances of Metal and Hardcore. Founded by lead singer George William in 2003, the literal translation of the band's name is "Land of a thousand leaves". Chiba-Ken is a suburb of Tokyo where George stayed while in Japan. In two short years the band has gone on to release a 2004 demo, and their 2005 EP entitled "Faces of the Moment". In true D.I.Y. fashion, the band founded publishing company "Poppa Tony Music" to handle all of its licensing rights, and booked their own summer mid-west tour where they played 11 shows in 14 days throughout 8 states. They recently were sponsored by Jagermeister, and the track "Urban America" off their EP has gotten regional radio airplay, as well as a spot on a compilation cd put out by FLO magazine. They have played with bands including Glassjaw, From Autumn to Ashes, BoySetsFire, Cartel, Seemless, Caustic and the Smash-up. The band lives for playing live shows, loves meeting new fans, and are some of the easiest guys to talk to. They look forward to the Emergenza festival, and invite everyone to have a beer with them after the show.
