CEDE is a Local Phoenix/Tempe area band formed from the ashes of several bands from around the country. Nathan Brack and Adam Litt met each other in a local AZ band called Nevus and which quickly made a name for themselves in the summer of '03 with unique guitar and vocal sounds. The two began hunting for a rhythm section when Nevis broke up in early 04. Steve Belcastro & Paul Williams hail from the Windy City of Chi-town. Having played in cover and original bands together for almost 12 years, they decided to pack it up and move to the desert in search of musicians to collaborate with on their catchy grooves and pounding rhythms. The group finally met in Tempe and quickly discovered that they had found their musical counterparts. The writing process began almost immediately. After only 4 months of jamming together, CEDE was born in October of '04, and has since put together a strong set that it has unveiled to the local AZ music scene. With pounding rhythms, smart captivating grooves, entrancing melodies, intelligent thought provoking lyrics, and an energetic stage performance, CEDE has established a one-of-a-kind powerful melodic sound that gaining a substantial following with every show. CEDE has begun it's conquest of the Phoenix/Tempe music scene. Playing everywhere from showcases at The Marquee, and Music Festivals in Las Vegas to major venues in Tempe, and local bars all over the Valley, CEDE is establishing a name & a sound that is impossible to ignore.
Having already recorded their first 4 song EP together, CEDE promotes their efforts by giving away free copies at their shows and uses them as flyers for upcoming gigs. The Phoenix scene can't escape them. Request their song “Zion” on 103.9 The Edge & 97.9 KUPD to support the group’s efforts. CEDE will also be showcased on upcoming compilation CD’s and soundtracks such as the new “Fuel My Pain” compilation CD, due out in Fall of ’05, and the Cabras Soundtrack in ’06. Also, look out for a brand new EP to be completed by early ‘06.
CEDE is currently actively pursuing management and legal representation, as well as sponsorship and ultimately a recording contract. A major goal in ’06 is to expand their fan base by touring the West and playing in Tucson, Flagstaff, L.A., San Diego, Las Vegas, & Texas. As a commitment to our fans, CEDE promises to live by their philosophy; “If it isn’t about the music, it’s not worth it”
