Howitzer started in 2001 as a punk band. They have since gone about mixing old school punk, hardcore, and metal into one blitz of destructive music. Though recording music is important, live shows are where the band shines. Few bands in the valley can claim to have as much energy on stage, and to captivate the audience in such a way, at the same time. The goals of the band are to create powerful music, drop jaws at shows, and support the local scene as much as possible. When it comes down to what does this band sound like the best way to some it up is Punk, Thrash, and Metal all in one package.
HOWITZER has influences such as: Pantera, Motorhead, Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, Black Flag, and Slayer
