Ceremony of opposites e il loro Death Metal

In the late summer of 2003 Pascal, As and Marcel decided to start a band. At first the plan was to make "Gothic Metal", though soon it turned out this wasn't wat we all wanted. After many changes within the band we came to the way it is now. At the end of 2004 we decided to ask our drummer to leave the band, because of differences in style, and because we thought it didn't work out the way things went. In may 2005 we found our new drummer, Sander, which resulted in the fact that the band is finally complete again.
To for ones and for all close the period of "Gothic Metal" and our previous drummer we changed our name in January 2005. Before this we called ourselves Caligatio, which is Latin for Darkness, but we all thought "Ceremony Of Opposites" was a name that would fit much better with the music we play now. The opposites we refer to are the differences in our music like on one side the strong, powerful parts and on the other side the melodic, warmer sounds.
