Somewhere in the winter of 2003 Peter, Emiel and Mike had the idea to start a band. The first time playing together turned out to be a success and after some adjustments, it was looking like a real band. Under influence off Blink 182 and Green Day, there would be the first gig at the school of Emiel . This gig was a real success, bur they realized that it would be better to write their own songs.
After rehearseling for a while, their setlist contained more different types of songs. Soon there were new gigs in Café Oud Brabant and consecutively in the Mezz and the Bussel.
After the four gigs things were not going according to plan. Mike's taste of music changed dramaticalliy, so drummer Mike left the band.
From that moment on, Koen was asked to join the band as second guitarist, also Jeroen, Peter's older brother, joined to the band as a drummer. This four man formation made a lot of progress and in a short amound of time they put a whole setlist together. Mostly their own songs, but also some covers. The first gig of the renewed band was once again in Café Oud Brabant.
This show was the biggest succes until that point, and we guarantee you that you will hear a lot of this band, so remember the name Since1800!
