NOTIZIE PRINCIPALI
After realising this, Bas and Martin decide to start a band and thus reviving the scene. Bas (guitar) has earned his stripes in his former band Puke Zeeland Crew and Martin (Bass) has gathered experience in former bands too.
Not long after forming the band Tim joins in and the jamsessions start. While trying to write songs they realize that they need a drummer. Badly. A few ads are placed on the internet and Arjen replied.
Together they form the band Loss of Words and continue to write songs. Slow and heavy metal gets interchanged with hardcore-riffs thus creating their own sound. Vocals are provided by as well Tim, Martin as Bas.
In May 2003 Loss of Words reckons it's about time to head into the studio, so they head off to Middelburg where they record their first demo at the Avalanche Studios. Evolution = Revolution2 was recorded and produced by Willy Berrevoets and 'Sharky'.
The demo gets sent all over the place and Up-magazine and Live XS write a more than positive review about Loss of Words. Some stages get the demo to and Loss of Words start performing shows.
At the start of 2004 Tim and Bas organize a hardcore-festival in JC de Kelder in Breda. Here Loss of Words plays together with bands as Revealed (RIP) and Dark Intentions. After this show it becomes clear that Loss of Words is lacking a frontman. Three leadsingers is too much, so Tim decides to throw his guitar asides to focus on singing completely.
To cope with the loss of a guitarplayer Loss of Words attracts Martin (A.K.A. Tinus) to fill the void Tim left.
The five musicians start to write faster and heavier music and after having written 5 of these they hit the Avalanche studios again. The result is a CD entitled 'Visions of a lost world' which was released in august 2004.
With this demo Loss of Words created their own sound and it opened the gates to new shows at venues like Mezz and W2, it even got them a show in the metalstage at the Breda Barst-festival.
Now Loss of Words has set out to show the world that Breda is a force to be reckoned with concerning Hardcore. Playing hard at anyplace and anytime will help Loss of Words achieve this goal.
