Plaeto releases her first single Being me in the summer of 2003 when it gets picked up by Arrow Rock Radio (the one and only rock station in the Netherlands) and is played six times a day during the rest of the year. From that moment the Dutch media start to discover Plaeto as well.

According to the critics Plaeto plays melodic rock and groove and Sandro van Breemen writes his songs like the 'classical songwriters' did (Bowie, The Doors, Ray Davies). But Plaeto sounds like the modern equivalents (Soundgarden, Foo fighters, Radiohead).
