Abatu was created in early November of 2004 by its co founders Lane and Ian. The band is a demonic destructive whirlpool of ideas, thoughts, inspirations, and raw talent. The music that is created by these 4 musicians is unlike anything ever made. In the vein of the early death metal scene in the very area that this band came from, this band draws alot of its inspirations as well as other music and things. The bands sound is like that of nothing ever heard of but hints of Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal and Nile can be heard in this primordial satanic sonic blitzkrieg known as Abatu. With each member bringing something different to the sound its sound is boundless. John an his roaring vocals, Sköll's blaspheming battery, Lane and his wall of sound pounding bass, and Ian's technical and complex musical arrangements and demonic shriek and inhuman guttural growls are what make this band a unique musical force. A new breed of Satanic Death Metal in the vein of the old.
