NOTIZIE PRINCIPALI
The Norman Project concept began in Amherst, Nova Scotia in 1998. Initially a solo act called "norman" - after the guitar Nathan's grandmother helped him buy - Nathan dove into the local music scene, playing in and hosting acoustic jams, organizing shows for local artists, and constantly writing songs. Realizing that staying in Amherst would limit his options, Nathan headed for Toronto.
After forming a rock trio with himself, bassist Craig Lowe, and drummer Eric Pattee, norman attacked the Toronto scene. They released an album called "Red Was Your Colour" (5 stars in Chart Magazine), and within a few months were opening for acts such as Nickleback and Social Distortion's, Mike Ness. The momentum was stymied when Eric suddenly quit the band for personal reasons. After short attempts with many different drummers, including Matt Brann from Avril Lavigne, the norman era was over.

After Trevor - Nathan's younger brother -moved to Toronto from Amherst, Nova Scotia, the two formed Norman Project, using songs from the norman era and new material. Nick Emeny was found in late 2004. Finally Chad Beaudrie, brother of Three Days Grace's bass player, Brad Walst, was added to complete the final perfect version of the band . Using the band's own recording studio, they recorded their promotional CD which they are currently using to build a strong fan base in Southern Ontario. Norman Project's strong song writing, intense live performance, and determination to play music the way they think it should be played is spearheading the momentum again. Lots of balls, honesty and feeling (maybe the occasional 80's scream). No pansy crap, no self-pity, no super drama. Norman Project is here. Listen up.
