I released my first CD "Gabardine Swine" on the 28th September,2004.
I'd been wanting to write for quite some time, but got too busy studying music.
After i got my master's degree, I started doing a little bit of writing. Then I picked up a guitar & now, here I am!
In Calgary I've played numerous open mic nights; the Songwriters' Ass'n of Canada's showcase at the Engineered Air Theatre in March '04 & '05; the Humane Society's "Great Pet Party" in May '04; the PAL fundraiser at the Auburn Saloon in August '04; on A-Channel's "Wired" in September '04; "Rock the Vote" at Tequila's in October '04; On CBC 1010's "Key Of A" in February '05 as part of an interview; at "Rock For Independence", a benefit concert for spinal cord injury victims, in May '05 and at the BarFly in June '05.
I'd describe my musical style as world beat flavoured alternative rock.
My influences include the Tea Party, faith No More and The Pixies as well as Jewish, eastern European, middle eastern and Spanish music.
Ian Kroll owns and operates IMusiK.ca, where this CD was recorded.
Anders Czarnecki plays drums in the local band "Little Voodoo"
Both Ian and Anders play freelance gigs as well.
